Our aim is to provide a professional, efficient and friendly service to all our clients.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
Here at Morgan Elis, we specialise in the creation of Lasting Powers of Attorney or in short known as an LPA. The purpose of creating an LPA is to give another adult the legal power to make decisions on your behalf should you be unable to make decisions for yourself. Once the LPA is created the person who then makes the decision is called an ‘attorney’.
There are two types of LPA. The first is an LPA for Property and Financial Affairs, this will cover decisions about a person’s finances and property which also includes the day to day decisions such as paying bills.
The second is an LPA for Health and Welfare which deals with decisions about the care and medical treatment of an adult. It can cover decision about clothing, activities, food/drink and more complex decisions such as medical treatment.
A person can make one or can decide to make both types of the LPA and can appoint the same person for both. For further information, please do get in touch with us.
